Last year, this Web site reported on a new project from Nigel Goodall and Keith Hayward.

The working title is Tin Pan Alley: The Birth of Elton John, and Keith has provided EJW with an update.

The authors have spoken with a slew of personalities, including Elton's former manager, personal assistant and lawyer, as well as colleagues such as Kiki Dee, Caleb Quaye, Del Newman, Roger Pope and Gary Osborne. What's more, David Larkham, who designed many of Elton's albums, has agreed to sign a limited number of books, which may include a CD of an unreleased My Dear Watson featuring Reg Dwight.

Meanwhile, Keith says he is searching for anyone who worked on the film set of Tommy--or who was part of Ken Russell's production team then.
