This Web site recently announced that Ben Babylon and Rock Nation would be covering  a number of Elton's songs next month at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California.

What's more, on September 26, Nigel Olsson and two other members of Elton's group (seen above, as is Ben) will join the singer as he performs his tribute to his late father, keyboardist Guy Babylon, on Goodbye Superman.

John Mahon, one of the instrumentalists who is taking part, said he'd ''better start practising,'' noting the young entertainer's ''amazing talent.

Davey Johnstone, who will also be there, recalled that Elton always called Guy ''their keyboard genius and wizard.''

Davey met Guy at a recording session in 1987, where he immediately sensed ''someone special'' and felt ''an almost psychic connection.''

Babylon isn't the only child of an EJ associate who will appear
in the upcoming show. Fifteen-year-old drummer Juliet Johnstone, a student
at Rock Nation, will perform, as will her older brother, Jesse, a
professional recording engineer, who will lend his talents on bass.

Rock Nation, a private rock-music school with four locations in the Los Angeles area, is owned by Tony Avalon, son of singer and actor Frankie Avalon. The establishment produces several tribute shows annually, each highlighting the music of a different rock star.

"Rock Nation and the Rock Nation community are very excited and honoured to
have the members of the Elton John band performing at a Rock Nation show,”
Avalon remarked. “What this means to me is that Rock Nation’s status has earned the respect from professional world-class musicians who embrace the quality of a real music education to all ages. The musicianship level of this show will be outstanding. These students will sound unbelievable and true to the songs of Elton John.”

Tickets are $12 in advance and three dollars more at the door. They are available by phoning the club at 818-879-5016 or by visiting the Rock Nation site at
