Elton once described the Black Dyke Band as “the best brass band in the whole world” – and Perth Concert Hall audiences can decide for themselves when the West Yorkshire outfit comes to Perth on Saturday, March 27.
The Rotary Club of Perth Kinnoull is presenting this exclusive visit to Scotland by the Black Dyke Band, which also has the accolade as the most recorded band in the world, with more than 300 recordings. It is also the most successful contesting band in the world, having won the British Open no fewer than 29 times and the National Championships 21 times, most recently in 2008.
The Black Dyke Band performed in Perth two years ago in a sell out concert and tickets for its March 27 performance are selling fast. Proceeds from the concert will support Rotary National and international charities.
Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show are available from Perth Concert Hall on 01738 621031.
