The Sands Expo & Conference Center in Las Vegas is holding a Consumer Electronics Show which is expected to attract 130,000 attendees.
Among the 2,500 exhibitors are regulars like Samsung, Panasonic and Yamaha, according to USA Today. The latter offers the $80,000 limited edition Red Piano, a replica of the instrument from Elton's Caesars Palace show. It features five recorded songs, including Candle in The Wind and Tiny Dancer, and also has speakers.
Other highlights include Sharp's 2-way viewing angle LCD, which can display two video streams at the same time, as well as the Philips Ambilight TV, framed by a canvas that lights up in different colours, depending upon what's on the screen. The idea is to make the set a design element, and to reduce eyestrain. A 42-inch model costs a little under $4,000.
It runs through Sunday at 201 E. Sands Avenue, and the venue's phone number is 702-733-5556.
