As reported yesterday, Trudie Styler (along with Jemima Khan) recently hosted a UNICEF fund-raiser which was attended by Elton.
In fact, the Rocket Man also performed--as did Trudie's husband, Sting.
The auction alone (during which Courtney Love managed to outbid Elton and Sting in purchasing a personal answering machine message by David Walliams) raised in excess of £500,000 for UNICEF.
All proceeds from the December 16 event, called Christmas in Fairyland, will help the organisation's General Emergency Fund, which provides life-saving assistance to children affected by emergencies, such as medical supplies, water and sanitation and education, protecting their rights in any circumstances, no matter how difficult.
Trudie and Jemima are both long-standing supporters of UNICEF. In November 2005, Trudie received the highest accolade bestowed on a UNICEF Ambassador - the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award - for her longstanding commitment to UNICEF.
Jemima became a UNICEF UK Ambassador in September 2001. Since then she has been passionately campaigning for youngsters and their right to grow up in a world where they can be healthy, educated and free from hate and conflict ever since.
