During last night's Conversations With Michael Eisner on CNBC, Elton compared himself with Tony Bennett.
He stated that Tony sang at his 60th birthday party and sounded as good--if not better--than ever. And Elton said that in his case, his voice has gotten stronger as he has grown older. Also, he doesn't mind aging, saying he's ''grateful to be still be here.''
But the entertainer doesn't feel he can compose lyrics, although he has tried. Elton went on to mention Bernie Taupin, admitting each man may have been jealous when the other collaborated with other people. However, he says, their partnership wouldn't have lasted this long otherwise.
