Last week, Evelyn Lauder presided over her annual evening fund-raising gala in the Grand Ballroom of Manhattan's Waldorf-Astoria. This years party for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation was called The Hot Pink Party Goes Cool.
According to the New York Social Diary Web site, the Honorary Chairs were President and Mrs. Bush and Vice-President and Mrs. Cheney. Co-chairmen included Cornelia Guest, Leonard Lauder, Ingrid Sischy, Sandra Brant, Linda Stein and Vera Wang. Elizabeth Hurley made the opening remarks, followed by Mrs. Lauder, Myra Biblowit, the head of BCRF and Dr. Larry Norton.
The evening also featured dinner and an auction, followed by musical performances from Elton and Sheryl Crow.
1100 guests attended, raising 4.5 million dollars.
