David Furnish has begged his partner to quit his Las Vegas show so the couple can spend more quality time together.
The Rocket Man has been performing in the U.S. since February '07, and Furnish is tired of missing him at home.
He says, "We'd never want to change each other, but it would be so much nicer to spend more time together. I'd rather have more days with him than without him. "I've seen loads of him but it's not the same as being in the same place at the same time."
Across the pond, another request has been granted.
Leroy Johnson, guitarist/vocalist for the one-year-old Monroes, had asked Carlisle United if his band could open for Elton at the June 3 Brunton Park concert.
Although he didn't expect an answer in the affirmative, it turns out The Monroes will take the stage prior to the Welsh ensemble, The Storys.
Gates open at four. Elton is expected to come on at 7:15 and play until 9:40 p.m.
