Until June 2, the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery is displaying a colourful chair made in homage to Elton.
The Press and Journal reports that the papier-mache number was fashioned by Sarah Barnes. It's covered in portraits of the legend, as well as lyrics from classics like Rocket Man and Crocodile Rock.
This is one of the exhibits in This One Feels Just Right - one of two separate displays. A second one, HomeRoom, features modern pieces of furniture made using traditional crafts.
Curator Susan Christie said she had sent the exhibition programme to Elton, who will be playing in Inverness in July as part of Highland 2007.
