Travis Perkins, a leading builders merchant, is proud to sponsor the EJAF event. He supplied the majority of the materials needed to complete the shop fit of the Flower Cellars in Londons Covent Garden, turning the blank space into a chic retail outlet for just one week.
From outfits worn by Sir Elton on stage to David Furnish's favourite Dior shirts, fans will be able to hand pick from the finest collection of clothes and accessories, including sunglasses, luggage and belts. Ranging from £10 to £2,000, and with all proceeds going to the Elton John AIDS Foundation, the stock will feature labels such as Versace, Prada, McQueen, D&G and Jean Paul Gaultier.
Linda Doughty, Trade Marketing Director at Travis Perkins, says: ''We were approached by the Elton John AIDS Foundation to supply materials for the shop fit for Out of the Closet. For Travis to be associated with such a strong, instantly recognisable charity, not to mention rock royalty, is an amazing opportunity as a builders merchant. We are thrilled we could help out by supplying items from our nearest branch in St Pancras.''
Elton comments, ''Out of The Closet has become an amazing fundraising opportunity for the foundation. We always get a fantastic response from the public - I think the idea that the items we buy and enjoy can help someone, particularly at this time of year, really strikes a chord. Im so grateful for everyones support in making this happen.''
