Elton is to perform at the Vilnius Siemens Arena on November 4.
This will be his only concert in the Baltic States, organisers have said. It will be the second time he has played Vilnius; in 2006, some 30,000 people attended his show in Vingis Park.
The audience will be smaller this time around, as just 9,500 tickets are to be sold.
We are very glad the performer who fascinated the Lithuanian audience five years ago and who is actively touring all over the world is coming back to our country. The fact that prior to his tour in Moscow and Kiev, Elton John included Vilnius Siemens Arena in his schedule is a huge success for us and at the same time a result of long-term cooperation with Live Nation, the worlds leading company organising concerts, said Vidmantas iugdinis, Managing Director of SEVEN Entertainment.
According to V. iugdinis, Elton's engagement will surpass other musical events, in greatness as well as in the amount of money the star will receive and the number of people hoping to see him.
Preliminary ticket sales began yesterday for members of the Tiketa club, but the public sale kicks off on July 11 at 10 a.m., with prices beginning at LTL 159.
