Pleased to Meet Me is a new movie based on a screenplay by Kentucky-based filmmaker Archie Borders.  It's an adaptation of Everyone Speaks Elton John, from the nationally syndicated public radio programme, This American Life.

In  the episode, a performer placed ads in the Chicago Reader. seeking six musicians to come together to record one song in one day: This ended up being Elton's Rocket Man.

Wave3.com reports that the project is being filmed in Louisville, and producers need 800 extras to make it in to the film's final concert scene.

That scene will be filmed at the Brown Theatre on Monday, September 10. Those who wish to participate should be there by 5:30 p.m.

This is the first feature film for 180 Degrees Production Company, owned by Borders and Mike Fitzer.

Pleased to Meet Me will star John Doe of the punk group X, singer-songwriter Aimee Mann, and musician Loudon Wainwright III.
