A concert honoring Elton John takes place January 17, 2003, at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, Calif., USA, and the public's invited.
The 2003 NAMM Concert Honoring Sir Elton John: A Benefit For Music Education is being presented by Yamaha and features a roster of top artists.
As reported in Herman's Habits (25) on this website today, in addition to Elton, other performers on the bill include Vanessa Carlton, Ray Charles, Bruce Hornsby, Norah Jones, Diana Krall, Rufus Wainwright, John Mayer, Jewel, and Randy Newman.
Additional artists are expected to be announced.
Originally intended to be a private event for NAMM members only, POLLSTAR has learned that limited tickets are available to the public with prices starting at $55, but only through the NAMM official Web site at www.namm.com.
Although the menu calls for the ticket purchaser to be a NAMM member, guest thereof, or otherwise, it appears that any selection - including the blank one - will get you into the ticket purchasing area.
