Elton will provide two songs for Shoreditch, a British film set in the depression years of the 1930s, which is currently being filmed in London for release in 2002. It stars Shane Ritchie and Joely Richardson.
The film's director Malcolm Needs told the Press Association: "Elton's promised us two tracks which are Ain't Misbehavin' in the style of Fats Waller - or in Elton's own inimitable style - and Makin' Whoopee. They're two songs which I think suit him perfectly and help us tremendously."
Needs also said: "Dane Bowers sings Begin The Beguine for the film. He does it in the style of a jazz club singer in the 1930s part of the film and he's absolutely fantastic," he said.
