According to News24.com soccer super star David Beckham and Elton John, plan to open a stress-release clinic in the Western Cape for the richest of the rich.
They were apparently in the Cape on a whirl wind visit last week.
One of the properties they are interested in is an impressive house in Fisherman's Bend, Llandudno.
This three-storey house was up for sale last year for a cool R45m. It could be the most expensive house ever on sale in South Africa.
The house, designed by Cape architect Stefan Antoni, has nine en-suite bedrooms and a rim-flow swimming pool. The house also has many luxury features, including balconies for each room, a sophisticated security system, under-floor heating, a built-in vacuuming system and laminated security glass.
John Phillips of Seeff Properties, who originally marketed the house, said on Sunday that the house wasn't officially on the market at present. He wasn't aware that David Beckham or Elton John had visited the property or were interested in it.
Phillips said the house was in a residential area and could only be used as a residence. He doubted whether it was possible to use it as a private clinic.
Tyrone Selmon, an estate agent, said he had heard rumours that Elton John bought a property in Llandudno for R35m. He said there have been many rumours about international celebrities buying homes in the area over the years, but that most of these rumours turned out to be false.
He said his agency had several international clients. Cliff Richard
apparently visits the Cape regularly, but it is not known whether he had bought property here or not.
David Beckham and Elton John are apparently also considering other properties, including Boland wine farms.
