Elton and Billy Joel grossed nearly $51 million in U.S. ticket sales in 2003, placed nineth in a top-20 league.

The top concert acts in 2003 and the money grossed from ticket sales, according to the concert industry publication Pollstar, were:

  9. Billy Joel-Elton John — $50.9 million
  10. Summer Sanitarium Tour with Metallica — $48.8 million
  11. Dave Matthews Band — $47.1 million
