According to PA News on October 15, 2004, Elton's photographs at Christie's in New York netted $900,000.
The top earner at the October 14 auction was a picture of a vase holding white tulips by Robert Mapplethorpe in 1988.
Meanwhile, according to the October 15, 2004 Post, a photography book is planned, with proceeds going to EJAF. It's called Four Inches and features shots of famous women, unclad except for jewelry and shoes. The subjects range from Sarah Ferguson to Rachel Hunter.
It's the brainchild of Tamara Mellon, founder/president of Jimmy Choo footwear, and should be published by London's Scriptum Editions this spring.
