The director of the upcoming live action remake of Disney's The Lion King, Jon Favreau, has revealed that Donald Glover and James Earl Jones will be starring in the film.
Glover recently won a pair of Golden Globes for his FX hit series Atlanta, and is currently in principal photography for another Disney movie, playing young Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars spin-off centering on Han Solo. He's been cast in The Lion King as Simba.
Jones most recently starred on Broadway in The Gin Game and You Can't Take It With You. He won Tony Awards for The Great White Hope and Fences, and is the recipient of three Emmy Awards, a Grammy Award and a Lifetime Achievement Oscar.
He will reprise his role as Mufasa, the character he voiced in the 1994 animated original.
