Tasmania is on The Rocket Man's Radar

Written by Chief Editor.

Elton has revealed the fourth gig in his surprising tour of Australian regional spots will take place in Hobart, Tasmania.

He has already announced concerts in Mackay and Cairns in north Queensland, and Wollongong in NSW.

The Hobart gig is the only return show for Elton on this tour, although the last time he played there was nearly three decades ago. He will be performing in the other three locations for the first time.

"I played in Hobart 27 years ago... which I admit is far too long. I simply cannot wait to return to Tasmania and its wonderful audiences. My band and I are really looking forward to being in Australia this September - I love coming back," the headliner commented.

Elton, who first performed in Australia in 1971, has since played 186 concerts across the country.

Below are the four tour dates:

September 22 - BB Print Stadium, Mackay

September 24 - WIN Stadium, Wollongong

September 27 - Derwent Entertainment Centre, Hobart

September 30 - Cazaly's Stadium, Cairns
