UK TV to Postpone Star-Studded Documentary

Written by Chief Editor.

A forthcoming George Michael documentary has been delayed.

Channel 4 had planned to air Freedom: George Michael some time in March, but have decided to push back the film to avoid appearing to be insensitive over the musician's untimely passing.

The documentary, directed by Michael's friend David Austin, recounts the star's life and career with contributions from his musical peers such as Elton, Mary J Blige, Liam Gallagher and Stevie Wonder. According to the Mirror, there were  concerns that much of the film's content talks about Michael in the present tense - which could be deemed inappropriate given his death on Christmas Day.
