Toronto Fans Can Catch ''Classic Albums Live'' Later This Month

In 2003 Craig Martin, a singer from Ontario, stumbled upon an idea that would become his career: note-for-note recreations of the work of classic musicians. Thus Classic Albums Live was born - a series of performances featuring a core group of talented musicians playing everything from Led Zeppelin to Jimi Hendrix.

More recently, the players have become interested in Elton's Greatest Hits, despite their general rule against compilation albums. The 1974 release stands as one of the finest collections of the singer's early work, with favourites like Daniel, Honky Cat, Your Song and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

Classic Albums Live will be bringing Elton's Greatest Hits to their usual Toronto venue of Massey Hall.

Tickets are still available for the April 28th show, which is set for 8 p.m.
