Forbes has released its annual list of the top 100 highest-paid entertainers.
The compilation includes Elton, who is in 26th place, earning $60 million as of June 9, 2017.
The magazine says that even at 70, the Rocket Man is flying high with a prolific touring schedule--and his ''next big gig,'' composing the score for The Devil Wears Prada on Broadway.
Sean "Diddy" Combs came out on top. His earnings of $130m (£102m) pushed him up from last year's 22nd spot.
His success is down to his recent US tour, a marketing deal with a vodka company and selling one third of his Sean John clothing line.
Beyonce and JK Rowling took second and third spot, but women comprise just 16% of the world's top-earning celebrities.
Others who were cited include Guns N' Roses; Rush Limbaugh; Dr. Phil McGraw; Coldplay; Ryan Seacrest; Tom Cruise; Tiger Woods; Gordon Ramsay; and Billy Joel.
