Thursday Night's Show Was at John's Favourite Venue

Written by Chief Editor.

On Thursday evening, Elton and his band performed at Madison Square Garden.

“New York! We are so happy to be back at my favorite venue in the whole wide world,” the pop veteran declared.

He played for two and a half hours for a sold-out audience which included Bill and Hillary Clinton, and fashion designer Donna Karan.

The set list was full of classics like Rocket Man; Your Song; and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. The newest song was Believe, released in the '90s.

He dedicated Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me to the man with whom he has had “probably the longest relationship in my life”: Bernie Taupin, who was in the house.

Elton said that his career has been ''the most incredible journey I could have ever imagined in my wildest dreams. It's been the most wondrous, wondrous thing.''
