One of the biggest events of its kind will celebrate 30 years in Salina. Kansas, on Saturday, Feb. 2.
The Annual CAPS Benefit Auction will be held at the Saline County 4-H Building from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
With original planning members Morea Charvat and Mary Jane Mortimer still involved, the auction stays true to its roots in offering celebrity autographed memorabilia including a Tyreek Hill signed KC Chiefs helmet, and framed albums signed by Elton; Robert Plant; Joni Mitchell; the Who; and Huey Lewis, among others.
Other options include Tom Watson autographed golf balls and a 2018-19 University of Kansas team signed basketball.
Among locally donated items are trips to Estes Park and Steamboat Springs; original art; and even a soil survey.
CAPS' mission is to improve children’s lives and strengthen families through education, advocacy and support.
