The Latest on Elton And Two Coronavirus TV Specials

Written by Chief Editor.

Last month's Living Room Concert for America, hosted by Elton and featuring Billie Eilish, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys and many others, has raised over ten million dollars for coronavirus relief.

The musicians performed from their homes for the hour-long event that aired on Fox TV and iHeartMedia radio stations. It also encouraged viewers to support two of the many charitable organisations helping victims and first responders during the pandemic: Feeding America and First Reponder Children's Foundation.

Entertainers will soon come together for another special to help fight the pandemic. Elton's good friend, Lady Gaga, said the show would take place April 18. It will simultaneously air on ABC, CBS, and NBC (7 p.m. Central time) and proceeds would go toward funding protective equipment for health-care professionals.

“We are all so very grateful to all of the health-care professionals across the country and the world who are on the front lines during COVID-19,” she remarked.

The event will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert. Among the names to appear will be Elton; Stevie Wonder; Paul McCartney; Alanis Morissette; Andrea Bocelli; Chris Martin, David Beckham; Eddie Vedder; John Legend; Kacey Musgraves; and Keith Urban.
