Actor Tags Elton to Inquire About Song Planned For '87 Comedy

Written by Chief Editor.

It was on March 4, 1994, that John Candy died. Ryan Reynolds took to social media yesterday where he revealed a connection to Elton John.

The actor shared a story from the making of Candy's 1987 movie, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. He had learned that Elton and Gary Osborne were hired to record the theme song. Then Paramount Pictures asked that the song become the property of the studio, which didn't go over well with Polygram, the company Elton was already in a contract with. So it never appeared in the flick.

Ryan tagged the pop vocalist, asking if this song exists, and ''can I hear it?''
