Elton John and Billy Joel have cancelled all remaining Face to Face shows in March and April 2002 on the order of Billy Joel's doctor. The shows have been re-scheduled for September and October 2002.
It is not the first time that Joel has been afflicted by poor health. In the summer of 1998, he had to pull out of Face to Face shows with Elton in Europe. Some UK gigs were cancelled, others went ahead without Joel, but spawned the mammoth Elton shows which followed in a solo act in the next three years.
In both 1998 and in 2002, Joel has been the victim of throat problems.
