We are proud to offer you the experience
of a lifetime! With the Elton & Bernie "Take Me Back"
Tour.
Also known as The Ultimate Elton
John Tour, June 1-3, 2002.
This tour is guided by Elton and
Bernie experts.
Alan McCormick, a leading
authority on Elton and Bernie's life and works, who is renowned
as Elton music dealership Wrap It Up!
George
Matlock, former UK manager of Hercules, now news editor of this
website.
Dale Berryhill, regular
contributor on Bernie's lyrics for respected publication
Elton magazine, East End Lights.
Alan,George and Dale kick the 3-day tour off in
London on Saturday, visiting places of interest, mostly of Elton's.These
include where Elton was born in Pinner, a visit to one of his
houses (by appointment), see the house featured in Captain Fantastic,
sit at piano in the pub he first played aged 15, take in the college
where he was taught classical piano at the Royal Academy, and also
visit his beloved turf of Watford Football Club. The evening is
rounded off with a private set dinner in London where we invite
along two very special guests, Elton record producer Gus Dudgeon
and Elton drummer Roger Pope.

Alan takes the reins of the
Sunday leg of the tour, taking our guests around Lincolnshire,
central England, for a ride through the farmlands to visit lyricist
Bernie Taupin's old haunts, where he grew up, and other places of
interest. See the church tower that Bernie climbed as a small boy
and the actual site of the famous Angel Tree. Have lunch
in the Aston Arms Pub, inspiration for Saturday Night's Alright
for Fighting. Step into the church where Bernie served as an
alter boy and later married
Maxinne Tiny Dancer Feibelman (with Elton as his best man).
See "Piglet-in-the-Wood," Bernie's home in Tealby, along
with the "castle ruins" mentioned in When I Was Tealby
Abbey and First Episode in Hienton. A set pub lunch may
replace a Saturday night dinner. The set meals will alternate according
to special guest availability.
All this is offered from the holiday
atmosphere of a quality minibus. A hassle-free way to explore the
Elton John World in good company and ensuring that you won't get
lost. Plus lots more time to quiz George and Alan about the places
we visit.
